Dr Jo Russell-Clarke is a registered landscape architect and Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Adelaide. A graduate of RMIT she worked in a variety of roles with Melbourne-based practices, also teaching at RMIT and the University of Melbourne, and contributing design commentary to local and national public media before moving to Adelaide. She is active in design conversations and eager to widen and deepen the discussion and engagement of everyone with issues that affect our diversely lived and built environments. Jo is a co-host of The PLAN radio show and a regular critic and contributor to design forums. She believes that the activity of designing can and should be as emancipatory as the built outcomes. And so should our conversations.
